We are proud to announce that our Executive Director and CEO, Lorraine Hocker, was recognized as an honoree at the Lake County Chamber of Commerce 2026 Annual Women's History Month Green Goddess Luncheon - a distinguished celebration honoring women in leadership and all levels of management who are generating business and community success across Lake County.

The event brought together four outstanding honorees from across the region, each representing the remarkable impact women are having on our healthcare, housing, education, and global communities.

Lorraine brings more than 25 years of expertise in public and affordable housing to her leadership role. Since joining LCHA, she has led the agency through transformational milestones - securing the coveted Move to Work (MTW) designation, forging Project-Based Voucher partnerships with private developers, implementing Section 18 Demolition/Disposition initiatives, and obtaining federal grant funding.

Her strategic leadership has strengthened LCHA's position as a recognized leader in housing repositioning, earning recognition from HUD's Chicago Region V Field Office and a spotlight at the 2024 Illinois Association of Housing Authorities (IAHA) conference.

Beyond her work at LCHA, Lorraine serves on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), contributes to IL NAHRO, and also served on a National Public Housing Working Forum in Washington, D.C., representing the interests of housing authorities nationwide.

This recognition is a reflection of the extraordinary impact Lorraine makes every day - ensuring that families across Lake County have access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. We are incredibly proud to see her work celebrated by the broader business and civic community of Lake County.

Congratulations, Lorraine - this honor is well deserved.
